Architecture in Uniform Exhibition

Curated by Jean-Louis Cohen and installed at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Architecture in Uniform investigates the far-reaching contributions made by architects and designers during World War II. The exhibition design by WORKac with graphic design by Project Projects reflects the period’s condition of profound disruption. Several architectural and graphic strategies contribute to an immersive experience – from slanted display walls to wall-size reproductions of period photos and line art. Inserted rooms, walls and custom display cases interrupt the regularity of the square gallery spaces and allow visitors to uniquely engage with the historical materials.
