Creative Edge

Our design for a new tasting room for the catering company Creative Edge Parties highlights and enhances the experience of customers who come to their space for tastings or parties. Creative Edge occupies space in the historic Archives Building in Greenwich Village with offices on a mezzanine that overlooks the double-height space and dramatic arched windows of the tasting room.

In order to expand their cramped office space we extended this mezzanine, which effectively doubles the amount of working space. This extension required us to consequently reduce the size of the tasting room, which we squared off and rationalized, creating a more intimate space. To accommodate parties or larger gatherings, the two new walls of the tasting room were mounted on wheels and the storage space behind was configured to allow for the walls to be pushed back into circulation space and increase the area of the room.
