Four Seasons
Leaving Mies and modernism behind, WORKac’s interior for the famous Four Seasons Restaurant instead takes inspiration from the exuberance and sensuality of the four seasons themselves.
The new space is a collection of four different environments, linked through the continuous presence of nature. The comforting booths of the fall bar and garden are set within a grove of trees. Passing through a waterfall hallway, the winter room has a fireplace at its heart. The spring dining room has colorful graphic elements and planters, including the private dining area set within a cotton-candy-colored glass cloud. The summer greenhouse is lushly verdant all year long.
Timeless natural materials, paired with a series of related formal shapes, ensure the restaurant’s continuing sense of elegance, while a new creativity and freshness will allow the restaurant to reach a more global and diverse audience. The different zones allow for multiple experiences – fostering a spirit of discovery and encouraging patrons to return again and again throughout the year.
