Target/Mizrahi
Spotwelders

For the launch of Target’s line of Isaac Mizrahi-designed clothing, a temporary boutique at Rockefeller Center elevates the Target brand to a level of urban sophistication, while keeping to a tight budget and aggressive schedule.
The space is designed as a wedge with a sloped ceiling, creating a sense of forced perspective that draws people in from the street. Four “target” light fixtures support curtains to create freestanding cylindrical dressing rooms, each equipped with a mirror and a bulls-eye carpet. These custom fixtures and the white resin floor are combined with everyday, low-cost materials – oriented strand board for shelving and raw Tyvek as wallpaper.
