WORKac’s first commission and longtime mascot project, Villa Pup is a doghouse for the urban dog. Incorporating a treadmill, video screens, and an odor machine, Villa Pup allows cooped up urban dogs to enjoy a virtual rural life, chasing butterflies or cars, lounging on the beach, or even racing greyhounds (a boost to self-confidence).

Despite its insubstantial size and program, the project stages a number of key relationships that WORKac’s projects continue to explore – between nature and artifice, rural and urban, technology and experience.
